Safety Briefing and On-Site GuidanceBefore the activity begins, the on-site staff will provide a safety briefing and explain the activity guidelines. Life jackets, snorkeling masks, and breathing tubes will also be provided. Staff members and boat crew will guide participants throughout the activity, with boarding, viewing, and water-entry arrangements determined by the weather, sea conditions, number of participants, and overall safety conditions on the day. All participants must follow the instructions of the on-site staff at all times. Leaving the group or approaching the whale sharks without permission is not allowed. Whether participants may enter the water and how the water activity is arranged will remain subject to the activity operator’s decision on the day. |

A Respectful Ocean EncounterWhen observing whale sharks, please maintain a safe distance. Touching, chasing, riding, feeding, or blocking their swimming path is strictly prohibited. Flash photography and strong lights are also not allowed, as they may disturb marine life. ```

Whale sharks are wild animals. Their appearance, whether participants may enter the water, the viewing location, and the length of the encounter may all be affected by sea conditions, weather, and the natural environment. Whale shark sightings and in-water encounters cannot be guaranteed. All activity arrangements remain subject to the actual conditions and the activity operator’s announcements on the day.

● A valid booking voucher must be presented when joining the activity. Electronic vouchers are accepted.
● The voucher is valid only for the date, package, meeting point, and time specified at the time of booking.

● Guests who cannot swim may still travel by boat to the activity area and choose to remain on board for viewing. Entering the water is not compulsory.
● Guests who cannot swim but still wish to enter the water must wear a life jacket at all times and assess their own health condition, swimming ability, and comfort level in open water in advance.
● Guests who cannot swim, are easily nervous, feel unwell, or are not confident in open water are advised to remain on the boat and should not force themselves to enter the water.
● Permission to enter the water remains subject to the on-site staff’s assessment based on the sea conditions, weather, participant’s condition, and safety considerations on the day. The activity operator reserves the right to refuse water entry for safety reasons.
● The activity is guided by on-site staff and boat crew, who will arrange boarding, viewing, and water entry in accordance with safety regulations. A dedicated staff member providing one-on-one assistance in the water throughout the activity is not guaranteed.
● The estimated in-water viewing time is generally around 15–20 minutes, but a fixed duration is not guaranteed. The actual time may be shortened, extended, or cancelled depending on the sea conditions, weather, whale shark activity, crowd levels, safety assessment, and boat operator’s announcement on the day.
● Whale sharks are wild animals. Their appearance, distance, number, and length of stay cannot be guaranteed.
● Please maintain the required safety distance in accordance with on-site regulations. According to the official on-site notice, participants should remain at least 5 metres away from the whale shark’s head and at least 6 metres away from its sides and tail. Actual requirements remain subject to the instructions of the on-site staff.
● Touching, riding, chasing, feeding, blocking, or disturbing whale sharks is strictly prohibited.
● Flash photography and strong lighting are prohibited. Do not throw any objects, rubbish, or food into the sea.
● Please avoid loud noises, excessive splashing, or chasing marine animals.
● To protect the marine environment, please follow on-site regulations and avoid using regular sunscreen, lotion, or other chemical products that may affect the marine ecosystem.
● A life jacket must be worn during the activity, and snorkeling masks and breathing tubes must be used as required by the activity operator.
● Basic shower and changing facilities are available on-site, but hot water is not provided. Guests are advised to bring their own towel, swimwear, and a change of clothes.
● The meeting point, transfer vehicle, boat, and activity schedule may be adjusted due to traffic, weather, sea conditions, or operational circumstances.
● In the event of poor weather or sea conditions, the activity operator may delay, shorten, reschedule, or cancel the activity.
● Please take care of your personal belongings and valuables. Facilities such as cafés, souvenir shops, and lockers are not currently guaranteed.
● Participants must follow the rules and instructions of the on-site staff, boat crew, and local authorities. The activity operator reserves the right to terminate the participation of anyone who violates safety or environmental protection rules, and no refund may be provided.
● The cancellation, rescheduling, and refund policy after confirmation of this activity will be subject to the activity operator’s official terms and the confirmation details provided at the time of booking.
● Whale sharks are wild animals, and sightings cannot be guaranteed.
● If the activity is cancelled by the activity operator, rescheduling or refund arrangements will be handled in accordance with the operator’s announcement.
● After arriving at the venue, departing for the activity, or once the activity has started, any request for rescheduling or a refund due to personal reasons, refusal to enter the water, or inability to complete the activity will be subject to the activity operator’s final decision.
● Any itinerary changes, delays, or cancellations caused by weather, sea conditions, traffic, safety concerns, or other force majeure events will be handled in accordance with the activity operator’s announcement and actual arrangements on the day.
