Whale sharks are the largest fish in the world, covered in unique white spots. They mainly feed on plankton and often swim slowly near the surface. At Libertad in Antique, you can take a boat to the areas where whale sharks gather and, while respecting the marine environment and following safety rules, observe their graceful movements up close. It's a rare and breathtaking ocean experience.

Safety Instructions and On-Site Guidance

Before the activity starts, on-site staff will give a safety briefing and explain the activity rules, and provide life jackets, snorkeling masks, and snorkels. The activity is guided by on-site staff and crew, with boarding, viewing, and water entry arranged based on the day's weather, sea conditions, number of participants, and safety considerations.

Participants must follow on-site instructions at all times and cannot leave the group or approach the whale sharks on their own. Whether you can enter the water and the actual water entry arrangements will be determined by the organizers on the day of the activity.

Respect the Shared Experience with the Ocean

When watching whale sharks, keep a safe distance and do not touch, chase, ride, feed, or block their swimming path. Avoid using flash or strong lights when taking photos to prevent disturbing marine life.

● When participating in the activity, you must show your purchase proof; e-receipts are also accepted.

● The voucher is only valid for the date, plan, meeting point, and time specified when booking.

● Please provide valid contact information, hotel details, the number of participants, and children's ages when booking to help confirm transfers and activity arrangements.

● The actual meeting time, meeting point, transfer vehicle, and contact info will be given in the e-voucher or notified before the activity.

● If you choose the Boracay or Caticlan transfer option, please arrive at the meeting point at the specified time. Late arrivals may affect subsequent transfers and activities.

● Those traveling on their own should arrive at the designated check-in point according to the voucher or on-site instructions.

● You must attend a safety briefing before the activity and follow the instructions of staff, crew, and local authorities.

● During the activity, wearing a life jacket and using snorkeling equipment provided or approved by the organizer is required.

● Activity schedules, boat trips, water entry arrangements, and actual activity times may be adjusted due to traffic, weather, sea conditions, crowds, or safety reasons.

● Basic shower and changing facilities are available on-site, but no hot water is provided; it's recommended to bring your own towel and a change of clothes.

● Whale sharks are wild animals, and their appearance cannot be guaranteed.

● After receiving your order, we will check availability with the activity provider and provide the booking and cost details.

● Once payment is completed, an electronic voucher and related meeting information will be provided.

● The actual meeting time, location, pick-up method, and contact information should be based on the activity voucher or pre-activity notice.

● On the day of the activity, please bring the electronic voucher and arrive at the meeting point at the designated time.

● The activity schedule and time may be affected by traffic, weather, sea conditions, whale shark activity, and on-site safety arrangements, so please allow plenty of time.

● Participants aged 7 and above are recommended to participate. Children must be accompanied by an adult. The actual age limit and suitability for participation will be reviewed by the organizers based on the child's condition, sea conditions on the day, and safety regulations. 

● Non-swimmers can travel with the boat to the activity area and choose to stay on board to watch; entry is not mandatory. 

● If you cannot swim but wish to swim together, you must wear a life jacket at all times and self-assess your health, swimming skills, and psychological state when facing open water. 

● If you lack swimming ability, get nervous, feel unwell, or are unsure about open water, it is recommended to stay on the boat to watch the water. Please do not force yourself to enter the water. 

● Whether participants may enter the water must be determined by on-site staff based on the day's sea conditions, weather, participant conditions, and safety considerations. The organizer reserves the right to refuse participants entry for safety reasons. 

● The event is guided by on-site staff and crew, with boarding, sightseeing, and water entry arranged according to safety regulations. There is no guarantee of a dedicated person accompanying you one-on-one in the water throughout. 

● The actual time to enter the water is generally estimated to be about 15~20 minutes, but there is no fixed time. The actual time may be shortened, extended, or canceled depending on the day's sea conditions, climate, whale shark activity, crowd flow, safety assessments, and boat owners' announcements. 

● Whale sharks are wild animals; their actual appearance, distance, number, and length of stay cannot be guaranteed. 

● Please maintain a safe distance according to on-site regulations. According to official on-site notices, the head area of the whale shark should be kept at least 5 meters, and the sides and tail should be kept at least 6 meters. Actual conditions are subject to the instructions of on-site staff. 

● Touching, riding, chasing, feeding, blocking, or disturbing whale sharks is prohibited. 

● Do not use flash or strong light for photography; throwing objects, trash, or food into the sea is prohibited. 

● Please avoid loud noises, vigorous splashing of water, or chasing marine creatures. 

● To protect marine ecology, please follow on-site regulations and avoid using regular sunscreens, lotions, and chemical products that may affect the marine environment. 

● During the event, you must wear a life jacket and use snorkeling masks and snorkels as required by the organizers. 

● Simple showers and changing facilities are available on site, but hot water is not provided. It is recommended to bring your own towels, swimwear, and a change of clothes. 

● Meeting point, pick-up and drop-off vehicles, boats, and activity schedule may be adjusted due to traffic, weather, sea conditions, or operational conditions. 

● If weather or sea conditions are poor, the event may be postponed, shortened, rescheduled, or canceled. 

● Please take care of your personal belongings and valuables. Facilities such as coffee shops, souvenir shops, and lockers are currently not included in the warranty. 

● Participants must comply with the regulations of on-site staff, crew, and local management; If safety or ecological protection rules are violated, the organizer reserves the right to suspend the event and may not issue refunds.

● Cancellations, rescheduling, and refunds after booking this activity will follow the official terms of the provider and the confirmation details given at the time of booking.

● Whale sharks are wild animals, so we can't guarantee you'll see them.

● If the provider cancels the trip, rescheduling or refunds will be handled according to their announcement.

● If you've already arrived, started the trip, or the activity has begun, whether you can reschedule or get a refund due to personal reasons like backing out, refusing to go in the water, or not completing the activity will depend on the provider's final decision.

● If weather, sea conditions, traffic, safety, or other force majeure factors cause changes, delays, or cancellation, the provider's announcements and actual handling on the day will apply.
